Matzikama Organic Cellar

Matzikama Organic Cellar is situated at the foot of the famous Maskam Mountain.  The region is also world renowned for it's array of beautiful wild flowers, witch start blooming in August and September. Annually tourists around the world flock here to witness this amazing spectacle.

Matzikama wines are made for the individual, one harvest at a time. Each year we decide when to pick, what yeast to use, witch barrels and how the overall process must be done according to the specific season and it’s circumstances. This we do to get the best wine possible in the bottle.

All the grapes are produced organically. In other words no pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers are used on the vines. A Dutch company called SKAL international Comes to South Africa annually to certify us as organic.
